Manhattan Modular HVAC chillers
allow easy field assembly of large tonnage air condition or process
cooling systems, without the need for heavy
rigging and construction. Quiet operation and highly reliable components
and controls provide dependable air-conditioning and more precise load
balancing.
Headers are heavy steel tubing with precision
grooves. Modules are attached using reliable Victaulic couplings. All
slave modules are connected to the Master Module which houses centralized
controls and power connections for the bank of chillers. Modular Chillers solve problems associated with renovation of older buildings where often, they are the only practical choice.

Manhattan Modular Chillers
- Big
Performance. Small Package. Without a doubt, many applications around the world are going modular, for many good reasons. Besides being more energy efficient through better load matching, the new generation of Manhattan Modular incorporates all of the features required, but until now, unavailable. Heavy duty components throughout provide true 350 PSI operation, critical for equipment rooms in high-rise buildings.
Choice of Chiller Configurations - While we enjoy standardized products, we are not limited in our ability to internally produce a variety of Manhattan Modular chiller configurations, including air cooled, water cooled and split systems. We can even supply the system with integrated tanks, pumps and intermediate heat exchangers. Choice of Condensers - For many applications, especially those in process cooling environments, it is more practical to specify shell and tube condensers because they provide the passage of larger particles and are generally more forgiving to the reality of many environments. Choice of Refrigeration Compressors - For maximum flexibility in meeting requirements, we can provide Manhattan Modular Chillers using reciprocating, scroll, screw or new oil-free magnetic drive centrifugal compressor technologies. With reciprocating technologies, cylinder unloading can provide excellent load matching, and more cost effectively than hot-gas bypass capacity control. We can produce high-tonnage chiller modules using screw or centrifugal compressors to meet large system requirements.
Quick Filter Service - ArctiChill solved a significant problem faced by field service technicians. In competitive models, extracting the filter element built into the heat exchanger headers is a long and cumbersome process. Our newest products allow technicians to simply open the front panel, turn off the service valves, open the filter flange and slide out a fine mesh, extended-length stainless steel element. All from the front of the module. Swing-Out Control Panel - Because modules are attached to one another, a common complaint was getting access to components. ArctiChill has solved the issue by providing a means for the controls to swing away, allowing close access to the compressors. Access to Heat Exchangers and Refrigeration - We provide a heavy duty steel frame and easy-access service panels, providing top, front and rear access to components within the module. All water piping is at the base of the rear of the modules. Advanced Web-Based ChillerNet - ArctiChill is completing the industries most advanced service alerting system. When implemented and equipped, the chiller poll and store values from sensors around the chiller every five minutes and send them either through hardwire or wirelessly to our Servers. The web application allows users to "subscribe" to certain equipment, according to user definable thresholds. Routines query the data constantly and generate eMails to subscribers whenever a threshold is met. Later, we will add pager compatibility. |
